Welcome (Disclaimer) In my opinion, ever since Extreme Fitness took over Oxygen Fitness, the gym has been in serious decline. Equipment, space and services have been disappearing, and no one seems to care about the members who pay the bills there. While Oxygen Fitness had a few flaws, like cleanliness problems, it had lots of equipment, lots of space, and even during rush hours, the number of members was reasonable. Now it seems insanely busy, especially during rush hours. While I have considered quitting or joining another gym, as have many of my friends, this has been my gym for 4 years, I like the location, and I am sure that if enough people voice their concerns, whether by talking in person, or calling them, or sending them emails, or writing in this forum, they will have to listen to us; to take our concerns into consideration before making what will be huge changes to the gym over the next year. So speak up now. I have had so many of my friends and clients tell me how unhappy they are about the new company taking over, and the things they are doing to our gym, so it inspired me to take action. When enough opinions are gathered on this forum, I plan to approach them and make them listen to us. I’ll help you, so you help me. Join the forum, and have your say. All opinions posted on this site are just that, the opinions of members (or ex-members) of their Danforth Ave location, although members from other locations are welcome here as well. BREAKING NEWS - ACCOUNT ISSUES? News has it that when Extreme Fitness Danforth is a little short on monthly revenue, they allegedly dip into your bank/credit account for some extra funds. While they can claim this is an accident, it is illegal. Apparently, they don't give money back to those watchful enough to notice they've been double-billed! (Just a free month as apology -- which is not free since you unwittingly paid for it!) Those who don't notice get nothing! SO WATCH YOUR ACCOUNT! ANYONE HAVING THIS EXPERIENCE PLEASE COME FORWARD. |

GOOD NEWS!!! GOODLIFE FITNESS IS COMING TO RIVERDALE!! They will soon be opening a new location on Coxwell, just north of Gerrard, in Riverdale. For all you home owners, tired of Extreme staff and business practices -- and that hill -- you'll soon be able to go somewhere else! While GOODLIFE does have a few of its own complaints on the BBB website, they are AT LEAST A CANADIAN OWNED COMPANY. Shop locally, and keep these American scoundrels out of Canada! |

Information Dates Required Please post dates of when things started changing at Extreme Danforth. For instance, when did they first take away equipment, when did they first close the yoga room, when was the juice bar closed, anything you can remember. |

The New Extreme Fitness It's (past) September, and the "Grand Re-Opening" ... continues! What have they accomplished for their Grand Opening date? There is a big tarp hanging over a closed up section, where the treadmills used to be, (then the office and so called Yoga Room, for 3), AND SO MUCH DUST FILLS THE AIR, BREATHING IS DIFFICULT! What is Included with Membership? It seems everyone is paying a different price to go to this gym now that Extreme has taken over. But everyone also gets different services. Even people paying the same price get different services! |

Misleading Membership Offer? Do you feel that Extreme Fitness is misleading people with their membership offers? For instance, in the flyer everyone receives sometimes twice a week, there are pictures of a beautiful gym, nice equipment, lots of it, but lists 635 Danforth Ave. Those pictures WERE NOT TAKEN AT 635 DANFORTH! Is this not MISLEADING THE PUBLIC? Are there other things they are misleading us with? |
