Now that the women's change room is upstairs in the old yoga room, it means that the door to the classroom will have be shut so that women can pass by and get upstairs. The only problem is that the room is already terribly hot because they have never fixed the ceiling fans and therefore there is no air circulation happening. There are two fans on the floor, but they often don't work at all and sometimes just dissapear from the room altogether!
What is so hard about fixing ceiling fans so that we don't have to feel like we are going to pass out?!?

Not to make light of the situation but you can always go pass out in the steam room that now passes as the women's locker room.

about the upstairs washroom..... i believe it is a very dangerous stairway with so many women going up and down as it is very narrow. one elderly woman fell ( i have been told on this stairway because of improper lighting.
i went to management about the situation . he was friendly but not too helpful. he said it will all be over by dec 1st. they need to tear down a wall on the main floor and they intend to keep the gymn running during this. he told me that the stairs are good exersize to the washroom are good exersize . he told me that he is dependable as he renovated a gymn in whitby and they just loved him there. he also siad tht he is not a fly by night kind of guy as he is a friend of arnold shwarzenegger. big deal how does that help me wheni am in the middle of a great work out and i realize i have to go to the washroom and dont feel like climbing up there.

if all the members showed up at once i am sure there woould be line ups for the washroom also as there are only 2 toilets for all of us. i dont see why we have to grin and bear this crap as we are paying customers... right????maybe we should call arnold . does he know that they are using his name for reference to excuse their incompetance?

another question i have is this. the gymn manager told me that the company that is in charge of this gymn has billions of dollars . in that case why dont they shut the bloody thing down for a month , compensate us and fix it quickly and properly?i dont hear much work going on in there during the day and i know they dont work at night so what is tht all about?the team of workers they have hired is a very small team usually about 4 guys so where is the billion dollars eh?
one day i was working out and two guys were assembling one of the new red machines right in front of me . there were nuts and bolts and heavy pieces of the machine everywhere, just 2 feet from me and the sound of some kind of metal drill would make you go deaf. i asked why dont they do this after hours when there are no customers and the guy was very indignant and said well it just doesnt work like that . nobody else complained although they were probably bothered also .I am very flabbergasted and fed up at their inconsiderate attitude at this gymn.

I don't think filing complaints with Extreme has any effect, they just toot their own horn about how wonderful they are. (Does anyone else think this is abnormal behaviour?)

yes i think you are right but who else is filing a complaint am i alone in this? first we ahve to file a letter to the gymn but i would like to do it with a few other members . ithink we should get together and draw up a letter together. safety in numbers also power in numbers

we can complain till the cows come home and it wont do us any good until we get together and file a complaint . letting off steam helps but .. it is virtually useless we do something about it. i believe that the manager thinks that we wont do anything and that is why this is going on. he told me that eh has lots of friends in high places and i cant do anything which is almost intimidation isnt it ?

I am filing a complaint, for sure, by the end of the week.

I will also be writing to Tasos Pappas, the exec in charge.

The women's locker room is suffocatingly hot. The stairs are treacherous -- and I am in excellent condition. The advertising is dishonest and misleading. I have been deprived of services for which I have paid.

PEOPLE ARE BEING RIPPED OFF.

There. I have said it.

As for the renovations, I will bet any amount of money there are building code issues.
