With regards to health issues, such as toilets not working, moldly bathrooms, puddles in shower rooms, (no hot water?), the City contact is Toronto Public Health. Their number is 416-392-0936, Danforth office.

Be specific in your complaint, and remember to focus on the most serious possible violation first, then include others if you see them. Ask for a report when they are done. They are not allowed to provide the name nor number of the person lodging the original complaint. If you feel the inspection was unsatisfactory, let them know.

I haven't been to the gym in two weeks.

But somebody else wrote me;

Quote:
i couldnt believe what i saw when i walked into the place though as there was no electricity on the upper level and people were still working out in the dark. ... they had a lamp on the stairway up to the ladies locker rooms. no light up there in the actual locker room either. what nonsense and what a safety hazard. the water fountain on the second floor wasnt working . the place is an accident waiting to happen. afterwards, walking to the street through that dark alley was unnerving as i have never gone there at night before. it is the worst gymn , just unbelievable.

Please encourage this person to post her complaint to the general forum. Also, she should be encouraged to call Public Health right away. Improper lighting is a health hazard. If the general public knew about these female concerns -- improper lighting, etc -- it could be a media frenzy! Heaven forbid someone gets hurt before something gets done. Perhaps the whole gym should be closed down until the construction is complete.
