I was lucky, I guess. I froze my membership mid Nov. I just walked into their sales area (the old circuit training area), and told them I want to freeze it. Took 5 mins, and I was done.

The reason why I waited till then, was they told my mom (whose a member) that they will have the construction done by end Nov. By Mid nov I saw nothing was going to be ready, so I froze it until mid feb.
