WHO CAN I CONTACT at Extreme Corporate Office - so angry with this club!

My wife and I recently joined the Danforth club and we have been very dissatisfied with the staff of the club and in particular the General Manager Mr. Steve Venet. We have asked to have our membership cancelled due to the poor conditions at the club, including welding done on premise with no protection for the customers, paint fumes in the club causing my wife and I to cut our work out short, all the power off on the second floor during one of our works out. I brought all these concerns up to Steve when my wife and I met with him Tuesday evening November 13th and he said that he would get back to me by phone on the latest on Friday the 16th after he spoke with his area manager. I was satisfied that Steve took are concerns seriously and that he would get back to us. I was very disappointed to not hear from him and was forced to email him on Sunday November 18th with my concerns about the level of response. Steve called me on Monday to apologize and suggested that I came in during the week to get his proposal to solve our problem. I told him that I would come in Thursday to talk to him.
Thursday November 22nd I came into see Steve and was told that he was busy, so he sent out one of his managers. I was extremely disappointed in Steve in that he did not come out to give me the proposal and I had to ONCE again explain our situation to the Manager!
We were offered two months free for each us at the end of our 1 year commitment. We were not satisfied with the solution in that I asked if the two months could be applied with in our 1 year commitment and the Manager went back in to talk with Steve. The answer was NO. The last thing I want to do is stay an extra two months at this Gym and thus I am VERY disappointed with the Extreme Fitness franchise and how they treat their customers. I work for Magna in Aurora and I will be in contact with the necessary people to ensure that my story gets out to our staff.
I have asked Steve Venet and the manager for a contact at Corporate so that my situation can be rectified and to date they have sent me no contact information, even though the Manager said he would. I would like to talk with Mr. Bill Fotten so that my concerns can be addressed; failing that I will ensure the Health and Safety will be called regarding the condition of the club and will continue to voice my concerns to all that will listen. My wife was a member of the Thornhill Extreme for 3 years and truly enjoyed her time there. We are shocked with the level of service of your Danforth facility and hope that someone at Corporate can help.

Would you consider joining some members in legal action?

I will forward this to those who have told me they are acquiring legal council.

In the meantime, if you are in the club and they are arc welding, call Toronto Health. This is a danger to the eyesight, which can cause permanent damage. Any other threats to your health should also be brought up immediately with Toronto Public Health, including fumes, or poor or no lighting.

Arc welding in a public gym is very serious. If you or anyone is in the gym while they are arc welding, DO NOT LOOK AT THE LIGHT, it can cause permanent damage to your eyesight.
