On December 03, 2007, the business provided the following information:
Contact Name and Title: Katie Wagar
Contact Phone: 647.448.5188
Contact Email: kwagar@extremefitness.info
Extreme Fitness does not cancel membership in term, unless there are extenuating circumstances. We appologize for the inconvenience that renovations may have caused. The complaintant was offered 2 months free time at the end of their contract and we feel that that is sufficient compensation given the circumstances.
My Reply:
Two months at the end of the contract is not sufficient as all goodwill has been eroded due to rudeness by the front staff of the club and the continued lack of response for the senior executive of the club. This is not an isolated incident at this club and I an others truly fear for their safety in working out under these conditions, sever over crowding, inadequate lighting, etc. The building inspector will continue to receive calls due to the lighting, fumes or any other issues as these arise.
Two extra months in a club that we do not want to belong do is Not sufficient compensaton. It fact it is not compensation at all.
There has already been a protest outside of the club and that person had her membership cancelled by Mr. Steve Venet and the individual was told that if they ever step foot on the property again that they would be escorted off the property by the police. The protest was not even done on Extreme property but on Danforth. This incident speaks volumes to the executive of this club and of this company.
Last resort will be further protest over the coming weeks and a petition to the members.
This executive has not respect for its clientelle and as such there is not a chance that I want to continue at this club OR get an extra two months free.
Kind regards
