So far my experience with the personal trainers has been pretty good. If a lot of the young guys want to walk around looking arrogant that's their choice. However, the rest of the staff I have a problem with. Fon instance, the "ground" staff should be putting equipment back, just stand around often doing nothing, chatting with their buds. There's equipment left all over the place, much in the wrong places. when I speak to them they say things like, oh ya it's terrible here.
The cleaning guy drives me nuts. He's always vacuuming during busy hours. He vacuums right beside me while I'm working out, even on cardio equipment. I am semi-asthmatic, and allergic to dust, so between the two, I just can't work out there. I have to leave the equipment and move to the other side of the gym, which doesn't always help, esp with winter salt on the rugs. besides, that big long twisted vacuumm cord is a hazard, and I'm just waiting for the day someone trips over that and seriously hurts themselves. Also, he'll clean places that don't need cleaning, while the showers are often disgustingly filthy. And how much does it cost to replace a (blackened moldy) shower curtain??
The worst staff there are the management staff. Every single thing I have brought to their attention, they've responded by telling me, oh it's just you, no one else ever complained or said anything, which I know is an outrigth lie. I mean, at the very least, tell my you're listening, and that my concerns matter, that I am a valuable member of their organization. Seems once they got the money from me, they look at me as worse than dirt. This is the worst gym, and the worst company, I have ever dealth with personally. They are ruining my gym! |
