Just an FYI that there is now a posting up in the gym confirming that the gym will be closed from the period of December 17th to January 2nd to accelerate renovations.

And what is their policy on your membership? Have they clarified this yet? Will everyone get 2 free weeks?

I didn't see such a notice but I couldn't see through the dark and the dust.

So I showed up to the gym at 6:30pm on the date that was posted as the gym being re-opened (Jan 3/0Cool. Surprise Surprise!!!... They aren't completely finished. The weights/equipment are scattered around the floor (ot ready for use) and only 6 cardio machines were available to be used (if I wanted to get in line with the other members who trekked their way to the gym also expecting it to be open). According to the front staff I was more than welcome to "take a tour". This renovation did not improve the quality of the gym at all. In fact the "new equipment" is amateurish and not worth the price of the monthly fee that they charge. The floor space is pretty much the same size. The only thing that seems to expand is the vast amount of office space that the employees now have. I guess it's time to bite the bullet and start looking for a new gym in the East York area. Extreme can SUCK IT!

They will probably say that it's back ordered and will show up soon.
