I have been a member with extreme fitness since their grand re opening. I was bullied into personal training by a "top trainer" and given a trainer who was, well, less than qualified to train (In my oppinion) certainly not worth the 75/hour to train me.
Sadly by the time I decided I could no longer handle the hostile environment, with personal trainers trolling for business on the floor, while we try to work out in peace. I find myself cowering in corners at the gym. Its hard enough to be motivated to go to a gym with a nice atmosphere. Its near impossible for me to go to extreme for fear of which trainer will belittle my "poor technique" the next time i work out.

DOES ANYONE know any loopholes that would allow me to break out of my contract? i HATE my gym! Crying or Very sad

Well, you're not alone in that! It seems that Extreme will throw "beginner" trainers at the non-professional athletes, instead of letting you choose your trainer. Oxygen let you choose the trainer you wanted. This is another reason why Extreme will fail.

If your membership is transferable, try to sell it at craigslist or www.kijiji.ca. Good luck! I hear they're not selling for much. It's very sad.

Read the entire contract, and consult legal council to see if there is a way out. I read that one Extreme member had his contract broken by Extreme after complaining about the condition of his gym. You might want to try that. (Of course in a civil manner. Wink Wink )

For more information, see this forum, under the Heading "Other Forums or Review Websites on Extreme" and the subheading "What they did to one guy", which is the story of an Extreme member who was "fired" by Extreme, and got a refund for the remaining months of his membership.
